How to Upgrade the Memory on Your Nook Color
1. Open the small flap in the truncated corner on the back of your Nook Color.
2. Insert the micro SD card with the metal connectors facing the front. Push on the card until it clicks into place. The Nook will beep when it recognizes the card.
3. Select 'Format Now' when the screen states that formatting the card will erase it. Select it again to confirm.
4. Remove the card by going to to the main menu and touching the triangle button. Select 'Settings.' Then select 'Device Info,' and then select 'SD Card.'
5. Select 'Unmount SD Card.' This will keep the Nook from writing to the card and prevent damage to the memory caused by removing the card while it is writing.
6. Flip the Nook over to the back and open the SD card slot. The card is spring loaded. Push the card further in, and it will pop out. You can now grip the card and pull it out without damage and close the card slot.
