How to Make an Android's Battery Live Longer
Adjust Display Settings
1. Touch the 'Applications' launcher icon, located on your home screen. Touch the 'Settings' icon.
2. Touch 'Sound and Display' from the list, then touch 'Display Settings.'
3. Touch 'Brightness,' then move the bar to the left to turn down your screen brightness. The lower the brightness, the more battery you will conserve. Touch the 'Back' button to return to the Display Settings screen.
4. Touch 'Screen Timeout.' Touch the radio button next to the desired screen timeout length. The shorter the time interval, the more battery life you will save.
Close Running Applications
5. Touch the 'Applications' launcher icon, located on your home screen. Touch the 'Settings' icon.
6. Touch 'Applications.'
7. Touch 'Running Services.' A list of running services will display.
8. Touch a service from the list, then touch 'Stop.'
Disable Live Wallpaper
9. Touch the 'Menu' button when on your home screen.
10. Touch 'Wallpaper.'
11. Choose a wallpaper that is not an animated or live wallpaper. Live wallpapers use a large amount of battery.
Turn Off Bluetooth and GPS
12. Touch the 'Applications' launcher, then touch 'Settings.'
13. Touch 'Location and Security,' then touch the 'Use GPS Satellites' check box to remove the check mark and turn off GPS. Touch the 'Back' button to return to the 'Settings' screen.
14. Touch 'Wireless and Networks,' then touch the check box next to 'Bluetooth' to remove the check mark and turn Bluetooth off.
