How to Change a Read

1. Connect your HTC cellphone to your computer by using the supplied universal serial bus cable.

2. Tap or select 'Disk drive' or 'Data mode,' depending on the operating system of your phone.

3. Click on 'Start' on your computer and select 'Computer.' In the left-hand pane, select the drive that has been assigned to your phone. Use the right-hand pane to browse through your phone's internal memory or memory card, and locate the read-only file.

4. Right-click on the file and select 'Properties.'

5. Deactivate the checkbox next to 'Read-Only' and click on 'OK' to finish editing the file's permissions.
