How to Unlock Blocked Calls on Cell Phones
1. Obtain your cell phone's restriction code if you do not have it. You'll need this code to access this area of your phone's settings. Contact the cell phone carrier's customer service and furnish account information such as the account holder's name, the password for the account and the billing address. Once you've provided this information, simply request the restriction code. The representative will be able to give you the restriction code based on the model number and manufacturer of your cell phone.
2. Press the 'Menu' button on your cell phone's keypad. Select the 'Settings' option or icon listed in your phone's menu. When the Settings menu loads, click on the 'Security' action to configure new settings.
3. Select the phone's 'Call Settings,' 'Restrictive' or 'Selective Call Block' option. (The text for the action may vary depending on the type of cell phone you have and the provider.) The Security panel will appear, and you'll be prompted to enter your manufacturer or cell phone provider's security restriction code before proceeding.
4. Key in your phone's restriction code in the designated pop-up data form when the Security menu screen loads. Once the code has been accepted by your phone, you'll be able to see the log of restricted numbers in your phone. To unlock the blocked calls, simply clear the restricted number you want to enable by erasing its contents in the data form on the call log. Press the 'OK' button in the lower right corner of the screen to apply these new settings.
5. Test the settings by having the caller of the previously restricted number call your phone.
