How to Install Windows XP on a Tablet PC
1. Insert the Windows XP installation disc into the Tablet PC.
2. Restart the Computer.
3. Press 'Spacebar' when asked if you would like to restart the computer from the CD.
4. Press 'Enter' when the 'Welcome to Startup' page appears.
5. Scroll down the license agreement and press F8 to agree. You will not be allowed to install Windows XP without agreeing.
6. Press 'D' when prompted. This confirms you have backed up all the information you wish to save.
7. Press 'L' when prompted. This will delete the existing data from the hard drive.
8. Hit 'Enter' to select 'Unpartitioned Space.'
9. Hit 'Enter' again to select 'Format the partitioned using the NTFS file system.' This will take 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the hard drive size. The computer will restart automatically when it is finished.
10. Select the settings you wish your computer to have.
11. Type the production key when prompted. This can be found on the Windows XP installation CD's case.
12. Finish the remaining system setting requirements (time zone and user profiles). Windows will take another 20 to 30 minutes to set up your desired configurations. The computer will then restart.
13. Select 'OK' for the display settings.
14. Select 'OK' for the monitor settings. Windows will complete its installation.
