How to Use Facebook on an Android

1. Access the Android Market on your smartphone by selecting the Market icon located in the app drawer or on one of your home screens, if you previously created a shortcut. The Market icon resembles a shopping bag with the green Android logo on the side.

2. Press your smartphone's search button (typically designated by a magnifying glass) to bring up a search box at the top of the screen, allowing you to search applications in the Android Market. Enter 'Facebook for Android' in the search box and press the magnifying glass next to it to begin your search.

3. Select 'Facebook for Android' from the list of applications that appear. This will take you to the applications home page with information and user reviews.

4. Choose 'Install' from the upper-right corner of the Facebook for Android page to begin installation of the app on your smartphone. Your smartphone's notification bar will display a check mark icon when the app is successfully installed on your phone.

5. Open the Facebook for Android application from the icon in your app drawer. Sign in to your Facebook account to access all of the features of the application.
