How to Auto Connect Android to Wi

1. Sign in to your Gmail account. If you don't have a Google Gmail account set up on your Android phone you won't be able to download applications from the Android Market. If you do have an account, skip to Step 3. If you don't, open the Web browser on your phone and type 'Market.android.com' in the search field. Then click the 'Search' button. After the Web page loads in your browser, look for the hyperlink 'Create An Account' and click on it.

2. Type your first and last name in the appropriate fields. Provide a user name and enter it into the 'Desired Login Name' field. Create a password for your Gmail account and enter your information in the 'Password' field. Keep in mind that your password should be at least eight characters. It's also a good idea to use symbols, numbers and upper case letters to make your Gmail password more secure. Continue entering the required information and accept the Terms of Service agreement. Press the 'I accept. Create my account' button when you are finished.

3. Go to the Home screen on your Android phone. Click on the 'Android Market' icon to open the application. Click the 'Search' icon and type 'Auto Connect Wi-Fi' in the search field. Look for a free auto connect Wi-Fi application from the list that's shown on the displayed screen. Wi-Fi Auto Connect, WeFi, and Wi-Fi Auto On are several free applications that you can use on your Android phone.

4. Select the auto connect Wi-Fi application that you want to use. Press 'Install' and then press 'OK' to download the application on your phone. After the application has finished downloading its files on your phone, you will see a pop up message on the display screen indicating that the installation is complete. Look for the application icon in your phone's app launcher.

5. Click on the auto connect Wi-Fi icon to launch the application on your phone. Follow the onscreen instructions for running the application.
