Uses for Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Soap

Personal Care

If you have sensitive skin or an irritating skin condition Dr. Bronner's is a great extremely gentle cleanser. The most common use for the soap is as a body cleanser. Many people dilute the soap or it can be used directly on a loofah or sponge. It can be used as a shampoo either diluted or undiluted depending on the strength that you want it. The dilution for personal care is about one part soap to three parts water. Probably the strangest use of the soap is as a toothpaste by just putting a few drops on your toothbrush.

Cleaning

The soap makes a great natural cleaning agent that is environmentally friendly, mild, and effective. It can be used as a multi-purpose cleaner for heavy jobs the soap can be used at full strength and for lighter jobs such as floor washing about a tablespoon can be added to a gallon of water. For use as a spray cleaner the best dilution would be a tablespoon per gallon of water. If you use too much it becomes difficult to take off the extra soap that is left behind. As a laundry detergent use approximately 1/4 to 1/3 of a cup is used per load. It can be used for all fabrics and safe for use on wool and silk.

Fruit and Vegetable Wash

For washing off residue use 1/4 tsp. in a sink full of water and make sure to rinse well.

Camping Soap

Because the soap is biodegradable it is great for camping and can be used full strength for washing clothes, dishes and yourself.
