How to Call Someone From a Different Number With Android App
Create Google Voice Account
1. Open a browser window and go to voice.google.com. Log into your Google account with your Gmail Address and password, then click “Sign In.”
2. Click “I Want a New Number.” Type an area code for the number you would like in the Area Code of Zip Code text box, then click “Search Numbers.”
3. Click the “Next” and “Previous” buttons to see available numbers in the area code you selected. Click the radio button next to the number you want, then click “Continue.”
4. Type a four-digit PIN to access your Google Voice voicemail from a phone. Re-enter the PIN to confirm and click “I Accept Google Voice’s Terms and Privacy Policy.” Click “Continue.” Click “Finish.”

5. Download and install the Google Voice app from the Android Market if it’s not already installed on your phone.
6. Tap the Application Drawer on your Android home screen, then scroll to “Voice.” Touch the icon to open Google Voice.
7. Press the “Menu” button. Tap “More,” then touch “Settings.”
8. Tap “Making Calls.” Touch “Use Google Voice to Make All Calls” if you want to use your Google Voice number for all out-going calls. Tap “Ask Every Time I Make a Call” to receive a popup window when you enter a number in the Dialer and press the “Phone” icon. Choose “Call with Google Voice” or “Call Without Google Voice.”
