How to Set Up the VLC Remote for Android

1. Launch VLC Player on your computer. Click the 'View' menu, then hover the mouse over 'Add Interface.' Click 'Web Interface.'

2. Open the VLC Remote app on your Android phone. Press the 'Menu' button, then tap 'Settings.' Ensure that the box next to 'Wi-Fi' is checked; if not, tap 'Wi-Fi,' then tap the name of your wireless network to connect to it.

3. Tap 'Add VLC Server.' Tap the text box under 'Hostname or IP Address.' Type your computer's network IP address into the box. Tap the 'OK' button.

4. Press the 'Back' button to return to the VLC Remote control screen. Tap the onscreen controls to use VLC Remote.
