How to Set Up Charter Email on a Droid

1. Press the 'Power' button and slide the unlock tab to unlock the screen. Press the 'Home' button.

2. Tap the application drawer at the bottom of the screen. Tap 'Email.' If you've already set up one or more email accounts, press the 'Menu' button and tap 'New Account.'

3. Enter your full email address, such as 'John123@charter.net,' and password. Tap 'Manual setup.'

4. Tap 'POP.' Enter your username -- without '@charter.net' -- and password. Enter 'pop.charter.net' for the incoming server field, and '110' for the incoming port. Tap 'Next.'

5. Enter 'smtp.charter.net' for the outgoing server field, and '25' for the outgoing port. Tap 'Next.'

6. Enter a label, such as 'Charter Mail,' for the email account. Enter your name for the outgoing mail. Tap 'Done.'
