How to Open ICS Files on Android 2.3

1. Install iCal Import/Export from the Android Market on your device. Open the “iCal Import/Export” app after installation and select a calendar from the “Choose Calendar to Edit” box. Use the “Search for iCal Files” button to scan your device’s storage for ICS files and tap the “Load iCal File” button to open the ICS files.

2. Download the free ICS Bot 2 app from the Android Market. ICS Bot 2 doesn’t appear as a traditional app, but you can open ICS files with it. Download an ICS file using your Web browser, tap the ICS file on the Downloads screen and open it with ICS Bot 2. Use the ICS Bot screen that appears to specify the calendar you want to add the ICS file to.

3. Open the Android Market on your smartphone and download the Iscer app to your device. Open an ICS file with Iscer, select a calendar from the “Choose Calendar” box and click the “Add to Calendar” button for each event in the ICS file you want to add to your calendar.
