How to Hear Your Microphone Thorugh Computer Speakers

1. Connect your microphone to your computer’s line-in/microphone jack. Attach a stereo jack/line-in adapter into your microphone if needed. If using portable speakers, connect the microphone from the speaker's line-in into the speaker/audio line on your computer.

2. Right click the speaker icon and pick the “Recording Devices” option. A window will open giving you microphone choices. Pick the microphone you just connected. The window will disappear.

3. Right click the speak icon again and pick the “Sound” option. A window will appear with the speaker thumbnail to the left and the audio level to the right. Speak into the microphone and the levels will react accordingly and you should hear your voice through the speakers.

4. Click “OK” and hit the speaker icon and raise or lower the audio level for your computer speakers. Test the levels once again by talking into the microphone.
