How to Remote Start the Webcam on an Android Phone

Software Installation

1. Navigate to Orb.com in your Web browser and click 'Download Orb Caster.'

2. Click 'Save,' then 'Save and Run.'

3. Click 'Run,' when prompted and then 'Next.'

4. Click 'I agree' to accept the terms and 'Install.' Wait for the installation for finish.

5. Double-click the Orb icon in the task bar and click 'Users.'

6. Click 'Add' and 'Create New User.'

7. Choose a username and password, and leave the other options on default.

8. Click 'Finish' to go back to the Control Panel. Click the 'Webcams' tab.

9. Click 'Refresh List' and wait for Orb to detect your camera. Click 'Close' when done.

App Installation

10. Tap 'Market' on the Android, and then tap the magnifying glass.

11. Enter 'Orb' into the search bar and press 'Enter.'

12. Tap 'Orb Live Free' and press 'Download.'

13. Tap 'Accept and Download' and wait for the download to complete.

Webcam Start

14. Tap 'Open' and then 'Set Up Orb Live Free Now.'

15. Tap 'Next' twice to skip through the intro, and log in on the third screen using the username and password you created earlier.

16. Tap 'Next' to go to the Main Menu.

17. Tap 'Video' and then 'Webcam.'

18. Tap the webcam and tap 'Play Now.' The camera turns on after a few seconds and begins streaming instantly.
