How to Download Android 2.3 on an LG Optimus T

1. Download the LG Mobile Support Tool from the LG Mobile Phone Support website at lg.com. Save the file to your desktop, then double-click it to install LG Mobile Support.

2. Select your language and country to receive a list of selected phones, then choose 'LG Optimus T.' Download the USB drivers for your phone by clicking “Menu,” “Customer support” and “Application, Manual & USB driver download.” Double-click the “PC Sync and USB Driver” option to download the PC Suite and USB drivers. The drivers and LG PC Suite are saved to the “C:\LGP500” folder.

3. Open the LG PC Suite and connect your phone to your computer using a USB cable. Click “Sync” to back up your current applications, downloads and contacts to your computer. During the sync, the PC Suite recognizes that your phone is eligible for an upgrade and downloads the update automatically. Your phone displays an “Emergency mode” signal for several minutes while the software downloads to your phone. Your phone powers down when the update is complete.

4. Turn on your phone, which may take several minutes to power on while the upgrade completes installation.
