How to Upload Android to an HTC HD2
1. Download the HTC HD2 Android AOSP file from various HD2 ROM sites, such as HD2ROMs.com. Unzip the ROM file once you have it on your computer.
2. Remove the HD2 microSD card from the smartphone and insert it into a compatible card reader attached to your computer. Both built-in and external card readers work for this application.
3. Click 'Start' and 'Computer.' Drag the extracted Android ROM folder to your microSD card. Insert the card in your HD2 and restart the phone.
4. Click 'Start' on your phone. Click 'File Explorer.' Click your SD card in the File Explorer window to access the files. You should see the data.img, CLRXAD.exe and HARET.exe files in the folder.
5. Tap 'CLRXAD.exe' and wait a few minutes for the program to execute. This file enables all sound options for the Android operating system. If you do not run this file, Android still loads but you are unable to hear or be heard by anyone on the phone and you will not hear any other audio.
6. Tap 'HARET.exe' to load Android on your HTC HD2 Windows Mobile device. This application loads the Android image file on your SD card. Your initial installation may take up to 10 minutes so you'll need to wait for the process to complete before you can use Android. Windows Mobile remains unchanged on your internal phone memory, so you can reboot to load back in to Windows if you want to. You'll need to load these two EXE files every time you want to boot your HTC HD2 in to Android.
