How to Install a VMDK File
1. Launch VMware Player from the Start menu. If you do not have VMware Player installed, you must download it from the VMware website.
2. Select which virtual machine you wish to install the .VMDK file. Click 'Edit virtual machine settings' to bring up the configuration options of that virtual machine.
3. Click 'Add' and select 'Hard Disk' as the hardware. Click the 'Next >' button and choose the 'Use an existing virtual disk' option. Click 'Next >' again and click 'Browse...' to bring up the file dialog. Locate the '.VMDK' file and double-click it. Click 'Finish' to finish the installation of the .VMDK file.
