How to Change Gmail Accounts in an Android 2
1. Open the 'Gmail' application on your phone. All Android phones come preloaded with the Gmail application. If you can't find it, open the 'Applications' menu. The applications are listed in alphabetical order.
2. Press the 'Menu' button on your phone once the Gmail application loads. Click 'Accounts' from the box that appears at the bottom of the screen. Click the 'Add account' button at the bottom of the screen. Touch 'Next.'
3. Touch 'Sign in.' Type in your other Gmail username and password with the on-screen keyboard or physical keyboard. Click 'Sign in.' A screen will appear and inform you that the phone is attempting to set up your Gmail account. The process may take up to five minutes to complete. A confirmation message will appear once your new Gmail account is set up.
4. Press the 'Menu' button once your Gmail account is set up. Click 'Account Settings.' To disable syncing from your old Gmail account, touch your account name under 'Manage accounts.' Touch the new account to turn syncing on. If you no longer want to receive notifications of email from your old Gmail account, navigate to the main Gmail menu and touch the old account. Press the 'Menu' button, followed by 'More' and 'Settings.' Scroll down to 'Email notifications' under 'Notification settings.' Clear the check mark by touching it.
