How to Change the Volume Button on a Nook Color

1. Press the 'N' home button on the front of your Nook Color and unlock the device. Press the 'N' button again.

2. Tap the application drawer, then tap your root file manager. If it doesn't open to the top directory automatically, tap '/' or '...' until you reach the root folder. Tap 'System,' then 'Usr' and 'keylayout.'

3. Tag and hold the 'TWL4030_Keypad.kl' file, then tap 'Open in Text Editor.' Find the 'VOLUME_UP' and 'VOLUME_DOWN' entries. Tap the cursor next to these entries and rename them 'BACK' and 'MENU,' or vice versa. Press 'Menu,' then 'Save and Exit.'

4. Tap and hold the file marked 'omap_twl4030keypad.kl.' Repeat Step 3.

5. Restart your Nook Color to apply your changes.
