How to Disable Backup Assistant on Android
1. Press the 'Menu' button and select the 'Settings' option. Select the 'SD & Phone Storage' option, then select the 'Factory Data Reset' option. Select the 'Reset Phone' option to reset the device.
2. Tap the 'Android' icon to begin the setup process, once your device has been reset. Tap the 'Activate' option and follow the voice prompts to activate your phone. Tap the 'Next' button once your phone is activated.
3. Tap the 'Next' button, read through the on-screen tutorial and tap the 'Next' button a second time. Tap the 'Sign In' option, enter your Google account email address and password in the spaces provided, then tap the 'Sign In' button to sign into your Google account.
4. Tap the 'Next' button, then press 'Finish Setup' to view the 'Setup Accounts' screen.
5. Tap the 'Done Adding Accounts' button without selecting the 'Backup Assistant' option to disable the Backup Assistant service on the device.
