How to Convert Audio to Text for Free

1. Navigate to the VoiceBase website (see 'Resources'). Click the green 'Sign up for free' button at the bottom right of the screen.

2. Enter the information requested on the 'Sign up' screen, making sure to press 'I accept' underneath the terms and conditions.

3. Check your email for the activation link that VoiceBase will send, keeping in mind that it may have gone into your 'spam' folder. Click on the hyperlink after the words 'Please, follow the link below to activate your account.' Sign into your account using your specified email and password.

4. Click 'Upload Audio,' the second tab on the upper portion of the screen. You are limited to two hours of audio in 300-megabyte chunks. Note the list of supported file types found on the page. VoiceBase will transcribe the audio and store it in a database. You can grant access to the transcription to anyone you choose.
