How to Convert an Android Cam to a Web Cam
Using Skype
1. Download 'Skype' from the Android Market.
2. Tap the app to open it.
3. Enter your Skype Name and Password or tap 'Create an account.'
4. Tap 'Menu' and then 'Settings.' Check the box labeled 'Enable Video Calling.'
5. Tap 'Back' and then select 'Contacts.'
6. Tap an online contact to open a message.
7. Tap 'Skype Video Call' to begin a video call.
Using Ustream
8. Download 'Ustream' from the Android Market.
9. Tap the app to open it.
10. Tap 'Go Live' and sign in to your Ustream Account. Click 'Sign up' to create a new account.
11. Select a 'Show,' this is the channel name you will be broadcasting from. Tap 'Settings' then 'Selected Show' to change the channel.
12. Tap the red 'Record' button to begin broadcasting.
Using IP Webcam
13. Download 'IP Webcam' from the Android Market.
14. Connect to your Wi-Fi Network by tapping 'Menu' then 'Settings' then 'Wireless & Networks' then tapping 'Wi-Fi Settings.' Tap your network's name from the list to connect.
15. Tap 'IP Webcam' to open the app.
16. Tap 'Start Server.'
17. Type the IP Address listed at the bottom of the app into a web browser on a computer also connected to the same network. This will connect you directly to the phone's stream. Any number of users on the same network can connect to the stream using the IP Address listed in the app.
