How to Disable the Proximity Sensor on an Android

1. Tap the 'Market' icon on your home screen to open the Android Market.

2. Tap the magnifying glass to open a search box and then type 'Hardware Disabler.'

3. Tap the 'FREE' button and then tap 'Download' to download and install the app onto your Android phone.

4. Open the Hardware Disabler app after it installs.

5. Tap the check box next to the driver that powers your Android phone's proximity sensor. This will disable the sensor, which means that your phone's screen will not automatically shut off when you hold the phone close to your face.
