How to Recover My Google Password From My Android Phone

1. Tap the 'Phone' icon at the bottom of your Android home screen to open your Web browser. The icon resembles the Earth.

2. Navigate to Google's account recovery page or type 'Google Account Recovery' in the URL box at the top of the browser. As you type, the browser makes suggestions. When you see the correct site, tap it or press the arrow icon. Tap the account recovery link.

3. Enter the email address associated with your Google account. It is usually your Gmail address. Press 'Submit.'

4. Type the distorted letters on the verification page and tap 'Continue.'

5. Select the manner in which to recover your password; in this case, choose 'Get a Verification Code on My Phone.' This option shows the last three digits of the phone number associated with your Google account. Press 'Continue.' Choose to receive your verification code via text message to your Android phone or through an automated voice call.

6. Open the text message without closing your browser. Tap the 'Launcher' icon -- a square made up of small dots. Select the green, smiling 'Messaging' icon and note the six-digit verification code that Google texted to you. Switch back to your browser through the Launcher and enter the verification number in the box provided. Press 'Continue.'

7. Enter your new password twice and tap 'Reset Password.'
