How to Get a Barnacle WiFi Tether to Work on Android

Installation

1. Turn on your phone and press the Home button. Tap the Application Drawer, then tap 'Market' or 'Android Market.' Tap the 'Search' button, type 'Barnacle,' then tap 'Go.'

2. Tap 'Barnacle Wifi Tether.' Touch 'Free,' then 'OK.' Wait for the app to download, then slide the notification bar down and tap 'Barnacle Wifi Tether.'

3. Touch 'Start' to begin broadcasting a Wi-Fi signal with your Android phone. Use the Wi-Fi settings menu for your computer, tablet or other device to connect to Internet through the Android.

4. Press the 'Menu' button, then tap 'Settings.' Touch 'SSID (Network Name)' to change the name of the Wi-Fi network.

5. Tap 'Wireless Encryption' to set up a Wi-Fi password. Tap 'WEP Enabled' to activate wireless security. Touch 'WEP Key' to enter the password. Tap 'OK.'

6. Press the 'Back' button. Tap the 'Off' button, then touch 'On' to restart the Wi-Fi connection. Re-connect your computer or other device wirelessly and enter the WEP password to re-establish the connection.
