How to Get Android Notifications on Your Desktop



Install and Configure Remote Notifier

1. Open the 'Android Market' application on your Android phone.

2. Tap the search icon, and then enter 'Remote Notifier' into the search box. Tap 'Go.'

3. Tap on 'Remote Notifier for Android' under the APPS section. Tap 'Install,' and then 'Accept' to download and install Remote Notifier.

4. Open the Remote Notifier application on your phone.

5. Tap 'Notification Methods,' and then tap 'IP/Wifi options.'

6. Tap 'Custom IP address,' and then enter the IP address of your PC.

7. Press the back button on your phone, and then tap the check box next to 'IP/Wifi.' This enables notifications to be sent from your phone to your PC via the data network and WiFi. You're now ready to set up Notifier on your PC.

8. Visit the Android Notifier home page at code.google.com/p/android-notifier/.

9. Click the 'MultiDroidNotifier-0.5.1-x86.exe' download link on the left side of the screen. Save the file to your desktop.

10. Double-click the file you saved in Step 2 to start the Android Notifier installation process. Select a directory to install Android Notifier in, and then click 'Install.' Android Notifier will be installed onto your PC.

11. Start the Android Notifer Desktop application after the installation process ends. When your Android phone sends notifications for actions on the device, the Android Notifier application on the PC will receive them and display them as pop-up boxes in the bottom-right corner of your screen.
