How to Download Swype to My Samsung Ally

1. Tap the 'Settings' icon to open your Ally's Settings panel. If you don't have the shortcut on your home screen, open the applications list to find it.

2. Tap the 'Applications' menu link, and then tap the box next to 'Unknown Sources.' This allows you to install Swype on the Ally.

3. Visit the Swype site, ideally on a desktop computer. Click on 'Get Swype' then 'Download Swype Beta.'

4. Enter your email address and create a Swype password. Tap 'Submit.'

5. Check your email from your LG Ally. You can do this in the browser or in the Android email app if you have it set up. Open the email from Swype.

6. Tap the first link then wait for the Swype package to download. The filename is Swype-Installer.apk.

7. Tap 'Swype-Installer.apk' then tap 'Install.' Tap 'Open' to open Swype once the package finishes installing, and then tap 'Login' to sign in to your Swype account.
