How to Use ConnectBot

1. Press the “Menu” button on your Android phone to display installed applications.

2. Select the “Android Market” application to launch it.

3. Type “ConnectBot” (without the quotes) into the Android Market search box. The software program appears in the list of search results.

4. Tap “Install” to install the ConnectBot software onto your phone.

5. Press the “Menu” button. Locate and select the ConnectBot application to launch it.

6. Tap the drop-down menu to select the kind of connection -- SSH, Telnet or Local -- you wish to make with ConnectBot.

7. Enter your username in the designated field. For instance, if using an SSH connection, type yourusername@hostname:port. For Telnet, type hostname:port. For a local connection, type the name of your connection. If you don't know your username, hostname and port, contact your network administrator to get it.

8. Press the “Return” key on your Android keypad to log into your desired network.
