How to Update the Android Tab ET

Check for Updates

1. Press the power button on the top of the Android tablet to turn on the device.

2. Go to the home screen and tap the 'Settings' icon. Scroll down to the bottom of the menu and tap the 'About Tablet' option.

3. Tap the 'System Updates.' The tablet will let you know if the device's firmware is up to date or not. If it is not up to date, then you'll be prompted to install the latest stable firmware for your device. If the firmware is current, then it'll display the message, 'Your system is currently up to date.'

4. Tap the 'Install' or 'Update' button to get the latest firmware installed and working on your system.

Force Updates

5. Power on the Android tablet, then go to the home screen and tap the 'Settings' icon.

6. Go to the 'Date & Time' section, then uncheck the 'Automatic' box and tap 'Set Date.' Tap the plus buttons for the month or day to move the date forward. Set it to a few days to a week from the current date.

7. Tap the 'Set' button to set the new date. Setting the date a few days ahead forces the Android tablet to check for new updates and if the date matches the date that the new firmware is scheduled to be released, then it downloads it from the Android servers.

8. Tap the 'Install' or 'Update' button if you are notified of a new firmware update. The system will be upgraded.
