How to Use Color Note in an Android

Installing Color Note

1. Touch the 'Applications' icon on your home screen. Touch the 'Market' icon to launch the Android Market.

2. Touch the magnifying glass icon at the top-right side of the page to open the 'Search' screen.

3. Type 'Color Note' in the search box, and then touch the matching result, 'Color Note,' from the list that displays.

4. Touch 'Download,' and then review the terms and conditions of service that are displayed. Touch 'Accept and Download' to install the application.

Using Color Note

5. Touch the 'Applications' icon on your home screen. Touch the 'Color Note' icon to open the application.

6. Touch the + icon at the top of the screen to add a new note. A pop-up window will appear. Touch 'Text' to open a blank note or 'Checklist' to open a checklist style note; e.g, for a shopping list. The selected template will open.

7. Begin typing to create your note or checklist. Touch the field at the top of the note to add a title to your note, if you want. Unnamed notes will automatically be titled with the date you create them.

8. Touch the yellow box in the left corner of the screen to change the color of your note. Touch the color you want from the pop-up window that appears.

9. Press the 'Menu' key to access more note options. Select 'Lock' to require a password to be entered to access your note from your device after it is created. Select 'Reminder' to add a self-reminder to your note. An alert will appear on your home screen at a designated time. Select 'Send' to share your note via text message or email. Select 'Discard' to delete the note.

10. Press the 'Back' button to save your note and return to the Color Note home screen. A list of all your notes will be displayed here. Touch the magnifying glass icon to search for a specific note.

11. Press the 'Menu' button while on the Color Note home screen to view more note options. Touch 'Sort' to change the way your notes are sorted. You may sort notes by color, date created, or alphabetically. Touch 'View' to view your all your notes as a list or a grid -- touch 'List' or 'Grid' view. Touch 'Backup' to view notes stored on your memory card. If you insert a memory card, notes are backed up on it automatically. Touch 'Settings' to change application settings or set a password for the application.

12. Touch and hold your home screen until the 'Add to Home' menu appears. Touch 'Widget,' and then choose 'Color Note Sticky' from the list to add a sticky note to your home screen.
