How to Unroot Android



Changes on Computer

1. Download the unroot_update.zip file from the MediaFire website and save it to your computer. The file is free to download.

2. Connect your Android phone to your computer with a USB cable.

3. Open the SD card file folder for your Android phone on your computer. Within this folder, you'll find a file called 'update.zip.'

4. Delete the update.zip file.

5. Drag the downloaded unroot_update.zip file to the SD Card folder. It is important that you do not extract the files.

6. Rename the unroot_update.zip file by right-clicking over the file name and selecting 'Rename.' You must rename the file 'update.zip.'

7. Close out of the SD card folder and disconnect your Android.

8. Reboot your Android phone in recovery mode by pressing the 'x' key and the 'power' button at the same time.

9. Select 'Install' from the Recovery menu and then select 'Allow update.zip installation.'

10. Select 'install sdcard/update.zip (depreciated)'

11. Select 'Wipe Cache Partition' and then 'Wipe data/Factory Reset' to restore you phone back to its factory settings and complete the unroot. Once your phone reboots, all your saved data will be reloaded automatically from Google upon signing into your Google account.
