How to Find PID for Kindle iPhone App



Get Your Kindle's Serial Number

1. Click on 'Settings' option on the home screen of your Kindle.

2. Enter '411.' This will pull up a hidden screen where factory settings are monitored. One of the items there will be a 16-digit case-sensitive serial number for your Kindle.

3. Copy down this 16-digit code for later use.

4. Connect your iPhone or iPad to your computer via the USB cable, then start iTunes.

5. Select your device from the left hand menu, called 'Devices.'

6. Click on the 'Summary' tab, and then click on the word 'Serial Number' – the clickable area is tied up into the actual letters of the term. There will be a 40-digit number called the Identifier.

7. Download the kindlepid.py file to your computer. It will not run on either the iPhone, iPad or Kindle.

8. Open your Python interpreter, and type 'kindlepid.py



. Be sure to use the email address that you have associated with your Amazon Kindle account for this.

9. Press 'Enter.' A 10 digit number will show up – this is your PID.
