How to Download Music to an Android

1. Connect your Android phone to a computer with your music files, using a USB cable. Upon the 'USB Connected' notification on your phone, select 'Mount' in order to transfer the files from your computer to your phone's SD card.

2. Go to 'My Computer' on the computer. You should see your Android phone listed under 'Portable Devices' as 'Removable Disk.'

3. Navigate to the folder holding your music on the computer. Click on the music file(s) that you want to send to your phone. You can select multiple songs by shift-clicking on each one.

4. Right-click the music and select 'Copy.' Return to 'My Computer' by clicking on the small 'My Computer' icon on the left side. Go to your Android phone's icon on the computer, right-click on it and select 'Paste.' You will see a progress window showing how long it will take to copy the songs. When this is finished, each of your songs will show up in the folder.

5. Go to the 'Remove Hardware Safely' icon in the taskbar. A window will open telling you to choose a device to remove. Select 'USB Mass Storage' and click 'Stop.' This will open the 'Stop a Hardware Device' window. Select the drive for your Android phone, or 'Generic Volume,' and click 'OK.' Your Android phone has now been ejected from your computer.

6. Go to your Android Phone's music player app. You should be able to play the music that you downloaded from your computer.
