How to Alternatively Treat Anaphylactic Shock



1. Treat anaphylactic shock alternatively through methods that strengthen your immune system. This can be achieved through vitamin supplements containing quercetin (400 to 500 mg. per day), vitamin C (2 to 6g per day) and zinc (30mg per day). These amounts should be spread out evenly through the day, rather than taken at once.

2. Try herbal supplements to treat anaphylactic shock alternatively by further strengthening the immune system. Many herbs, such as alpinia galanga, ashwagandha, Chinese skullcap, licorice and stinging nettle, have antihistamine qualities that can reduce the likelihood of anaphylactic shock occurring. Note that licorice should not be taken by individuals with high blood pressure.

3. Investigate additional herbal remedies that contain many of the natural antioxidants, such as quercetin, vitamin C and zinc. These include the blossoms from such plants as hardy orange, sweet chestnut tree, spreading sneezewood and Asian rose. Many of these herbs have been shown to inhibit anaphylaxis in animals, and may also be helpful to humans.

4. Avoid herbs that contain allergens that may trigger anaphylactic shock. These herbs include cinnamon, cayenne pepper, dandelion root, echinacea, ginkgo biloba, psyllium seed, St. John's wort, yarrow and feverfew.

5. Visit a homeopath if you have experienced anaphylactic shock in the past, or if you have discovered that you have an allergy that may cause anaphylaxis in the future. A homeopath can create a remedy to help alleviate some of the symptoms that occur with anaphylactic shock, such as anxiety, swelling and hives. Herbs such as aconitum, arnica montana and apis mellifica can be used alternatively to treat the after-effects of anaphylactic shock.

6. Use acupuncture to help relieve symptoms of allergies, and to strengthen your immune system. Acupuncture may be also effective in speeding recovery from anaphylactic shock and restoring the body's equilibrium.
