How to Configure TouchDown on an Android

1. Tap the “Application Drawer” icon on your Android home screen; scroll to the “TouchDown” icon and touch it.

2. Tap “Configure Your Account.” Enter your email address and password and tap “Try AutoDiscovery.” Touch “Next” if your server doesn't support auto-discovery.

3. Enter your user ID, domain name, email address, password and the address of your company’s Exchange server in the “Connection Details” window. You may need to add the port number of your Exchange server after the address in the “Server” text box. For example, if your mail server is mail.bobspizza.com, you would enter “mail.bobspizza.com:5000.” Tap “Next.”

4. Tap the “Don’t Know” radio button on the “Uses SSL” window if you're unsure if you server requires Secure Sockets Layer or not. TouchDown will attempt to contact the server with and without SSL. Touch “Next.”

5. Check the protocols your server uses on the “Protocols to Check For” screen. If you're unsure of the protocols used on the server, check them all and tap “Next.”

6. Tap “Next” on the “Start Configuration” screen. TouchDown connects to the server and sync all data. Touch “Close” when configuration and the initial sync is complete.
