How to Change the Navigator Voice on a Droid

1. Press 'Menu' from your Droid's home screen, then tap 'Settings,' 'Voice input & output' and finally 'Text to speech settings.'

2. Tap 'Install voice data' if it isn't grayed out, and follow the on-screen instructions. This will activate the rest of the text-to-speech options. If 'Install voice data' is grayed out, and the rest of the options are available, skip this step.

3. Tap 'Language' to switch between different languages and accents for the speech synthesizer.

4. Tap 'Speech rate' to adjust the speed with which the synthesizer speaks.

5. Tap 'Listen to an example' to hear what your current settings sound like. When you're done making changes, press the Home button to exit the menu.
