How to Get a Bluetooth Device to See a PS3 Controller

1. Download and install MotionInJoy from the Resource section of this guide. This program will allow you to use your Sony Playstation3 controller on your computer as a game controller. You can use it as a USB controller or use your Bluetooth adapter to wirelessly sync the controller.

2. Press the “Start” button on your taskbar and restart your computer. Press the “F8” button repeatedly when your computer turns back on. This will bring you to the Advanced Boot Options screen. Select the “Disable Driver Signature Enforcement” and press the “Enter” button. Your computer will boot up.

3. Plug your Playstation3 controller into your PC using the USB cable that came with your Playstation3. Windows will install the basic drivers for your controller so that your computer can see it.

4. Click the “Start” button and locate the “MotionInJoy” folder and click it. You will see two choices named “Install USB Driver” and “Install Bluetooth Driver.” Right-click the “Install USB driver” option and click “Run as Administrator.” When that has finished installing, go back and right-click the “Install Bluetooth Driver” and run that as an administrator.

5. Unplug your controller from the PC and press the “PS” button on the Playstation3 controller. This will sync the controller to the PC using the Bluetooth adapter. You can use your PS3 controller to play your Windows games.
