How to Get Folders Like an iPhone on an Android

Make Your Android Folders Look Like iPhone's Folders

1. Open the Android Market on your phone and search for 'iPhone Style Folders.'

2. Tap the market result for 'iPhone Style Folders.' There are two -- one is free, and the other is a premium application. Both apps have the same features, but are created by different developers.

3. Tap 'Download,' and then tap 'Accept & Download.' If you decided on the premium app, you'll need to choose your billing method and click 'Buy.'

4. Tap your 'Home' button, and then tap 'Menu,' 'Add,' and 'Widget.'

5. Tap 'iPhone Style Folder.' The folder will appear on your home screen.

6. Tap the application widget to open it. You'll now see a list of your apps, along with 16 'Empty' slots. Tap and drag the widgets you want to add to the folder in the 'Empty' slots.

7. Tap 'Set Folder.' A box appears, letting you change the folder's name. Tap 'Apply' when you are finished.

Using the Default Android Folders

8. Push the 'Home' button on your phone to access your Android home screen.

9. Tap the 'Menu' button, and then tap 'Add' and choose 'Folders.'

10. Tap 'New Folder.' The folder will now appear on the home screen.

11. Tap the home screen application widget you want to move into the folder, and then drag it into the folder. Repeat as necessary for other widgets you want to put inside the folder.
